Judith Miller began collecting antiques in the 1960s while a student at Edinburgh University. Fascinated by the inexpensive plates she bought in the city's junk shops she began to research their history in books and auction catalogues. She has since become one of the world's leading experts in antiques. From 1979 until 1988, Judith served as co-founder of the international best-seller Miller's Antiques Price Guide and has since written more than 80 books, many of which are held in high regard by collectors and dealers. Judith is a regular lecturer and contributor to numerous newspapers and magazines, including BBC Homes & Antiques and House & Garden, and appears regularly on radio and TV, most notably as co-host for the popular BBC series The House Detectives and is an expert on the BBC Antiques Roadshow. She regularly lectures in the US to Art & Antiques Charity events and is a regular lecturer to Appraisers societies, the AAA in New York and recently the IAS in Fort Worth Texas. Twice a year she does an antiques lecture tour of the US with associated TV, radio and press.
